   my story

I began my martial arts training when I was a only a boy, 3 years old, I remember my Mom taking me to see the Star Wars Empire Strikes Back movie and I fell in Love with Yoda, Lukes Master, my immediate desire is that I wanted to have a Master like Yoda,  so I started looking. My first class was a in a karate school, I remember I would love dressing in the uniform to go to class, but I did not identify so much with the rough temper of the Karate teacher, so after some soul searching  I moved on to finding a Kung Fu teacher. My first Sifu (meaning skillful person or Master), was a kind but strict Shaolin teacher. I was 7 by that time and trained with him for 2 years. 

 My family then moved to Colombia, there I got into playing Basketball for a while , but coming from the US I was an “outsider” to Colombian Kids, so a lot of bullying came down my path, which was when I began looking again for a Kung Fu school. I came across my Master’s Academy Citogim (https://citogim.co/) a system I would begin and continue to practice until today for over 25 years, under the guidance of my Master, Jorge Betancur.

 During my years of Practicing Citogim, My Master Jorge established a relationship with the representative of traditional Kung fu from China in the capital , His name is Qi Ke Bo (http://montanaamarilla.com/tai-chi-chuan/escuela-de-tai-chi-chuan-estilo-yang/) him and his children became our Yang Tai Chi teachers, I learn from them still and have been practicing Yang Tai Chi for over 15 years.

I have moved and lived in different cities, and one of the teachings my Master Jorge would always promote is to learn and discover constantly, so when I Lived In New York I practiced Shaolin Kung fu under Sifu Shi Yang Ming  (https://www.usashaolintemple.online/) and I now live in Miami where I began practicing Wing Chun under the Ip Man Lineage learning directly from Sifu Robert Smith (http://www.miamiwingchun.com/) and have been practicing for over 7 years. 

  Each Sifu I have had the honor of training under has brought enormous riches in wisdom and experience, and I wish to pass on those treasures to anyone who is willing to put in the effort. 

I began Teaching Kung Fu when I was 15 years old,, now I am 38, I have students who are now Masters and I wish to continue to pass on this beautiful knowladge to anyone who wishes to learn
